December 13 - 18, 2016

My first night in Natal.  First off, it's hot!  We don't work until 4 p.m. because we will get cancer if we go out before that.  This is the AP's apartment.  A bunch of guys were here that night because it was transfer night.

This is the typical house here.  The front door is like a garage door or a gate.  You clap to get the person's attention.

My first companion, Elder Nhatole from Mozambique.

This is common here -- horse drawn buggies or just a guy riding a horse down the street.  Motorcycles are more common -- everyone has a motorcycle.

The bay and Natal bridge in the background.  It's super cool!

My room -- we keep the window open at all times for ventilation.  Sometimes birds fly in.
Bathroom

Washer

Our dryer and kitchen.

My desk
My companion's desk.

My area, Nova Republica -- this is where we do  most of our work and contacting.

A workout park.

Well -- it happened.

View from my apartment.

A good view from here in the favelas.

Our capela (church) which is actually outside our zone.

Me and my boy, Elder Orozimbo -- chilling.

We went out on the roof last night and I got some pics -- you can see planes taking off from here.

Natal Bridge all lit up.

Last, but not least, a gecko.
